Influence of Build Direction and Post Processes on the Material and Part Attributes of Hard Resins Fabricated by Photopolymerization Based Additive Manufacturing

This study aims to contribute the scientific knowledge by investigating influence of build direction and post-curing on material part attributes acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS-like) like resins photopolymerization based additive manufacturing (AM). Specimens were manufactured in different directions with parameters that offer highest density. Two groups specimens, one as-built other post-cured, subjected dimensional inspections, surface characterization, fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), hardness measurements, tensile tests, bending Charpy impact tests obtained values reported benchmarked. It has been observed change significantly affects roughness average samples produced vertical plane is much higher than those horizontal plane. was demonstrated a negligible effect dimensions increases hardness, modulus flexural while reducing elongation resistance. The effects chemical thermal properties also compared it determined improves stability. In absence post-curing, specimens have strength their counterparts.
